Cheng Enfu is a professor at the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. On December 11, 2021, he spoke at a webinar entitled "The Summit for Socialist Democracy." The event was organised jointly by Friends of Socialist China and the International Manifesto Group, and co-sponsored by the Morning Star, the International Action Center, Nodutdol and Qiao Collective. In response to Joe Biden's "Summit for Democracy," this webinar challenges the universalization of capitalism's so-called liberal democracy and explores socialist democratic systems.
