No one likes getting sick, but here are a few reminders I recommend to help you and your family from getting sick… and to keep your communities healthy:
• Stay Up to Date on Vaccines. To lower your risk of severe illness, get the updated vaccines for flu and COVID-19… and, if eligible, for RSV.
• Stay Home if You’re Sick, Test for COVID-19, and get COVID-19 treatments if you test positive. You can ask your health care provider about getting COVID-19 treatments to help you get better quicker.
• Consider Wearing a Mask in Indoor or crowded Public Places, especially if you are more vulnerable to getting very sick.
• And also… don’t forget the very basics like washing your hands often, and always cover your cough or sneeze.
These simple steps will help keep you and your family healthy, and you’ll also keep your communities safer during this fall and winter virus season.
