Used in commercial audio systems such as public address and background music, 70v or 100v line loudspeakers often feature 'tapping' settings or switches which allows the installer to adjust the speaker output to meet the needs of it's environment or positioning.
For instance, where a building may have differing ceiling heights or where there is different ambient noise levels in the room, the same loudspeakers can be set with different 'volume' outputs to meet the needs of their position.
