In key decision, the Varanasi Court rejected Muslim side's petition, saying the suit filed by Hindu women is maintainable. Next hearing in the case is on September 22.

The plea was filed by Anjuman Intazamia Committee, challenging the maintainability of the petition filed by 4 Hindu women devotees seeking right to worship Maa Shringar Gauri on the outer wall of the mosque complex.

Lawyer representing Hindu side said that the Varanasi district judge had ruled that the Gyanvapi Mosque-Shringar Gauri case is maintainable.
