CMA joined forces to rescue a leatherback sea turtle today, believed to be 400-500 pounds. A rope that was attached to crab trap was wrapped around its neck and tangled around its right front flipper. Rescuers were able to successfully disentangle the crab trap and set the turtle free. They assessed the animal’s health and released it.
