This 2009 Volvo C30 with the 2.5L 5-cylinder turbo was setting a diagnostic trouble code P0017 which means that the Camshaft positioning is incorrect for the exhaust side of the engine. The Volvo specific code is (673c). What this means is that the system is unable to move the camshaft timing when commanded. We've seen a lot of this and it all boils down to proper maintenance.
