A common problem I encounter is hearing audio recordings that were recorded in stereo, but only one output was in use. This will result in an audio recording in which the audio is only audible from the left or right side. To prevent this from happening, make sure to record in mono. This can be set in the FL Studio mixer, under the Audio Input Source (in the bar that says none). If you use input 1, then select input one, if you use input 2 then select input 2, and so on.
