On Tuesday, November 26, 2013, Anne Umland, The Blanchette Hooker Rockefeller Curator of Painting and Sculpture at The Museum of Modern Art, New York, gave a lecture on the great Belgian painter René Magritte's early Surrealist years, with special reference to works of art included in the exhibition Magritte: The Mystery of the Ordinary 1926-1938, on view at MoMA through January 13, 2014.
