Durga Puja is the most famous festival of Kolkata. During these five days of festivities, Kolkata adorns in the best possible way and so are her residents. Durga Puja is no longer a religious festival of the Hindus, but it has become a carnival and a social festival. And Kumartuli is inexorably related to Durga Puja.
In kolkata kumartuli not just the only place where Durga Idol are getting ready for the festival, there are many individual studios in different places of kolkata were beautiful durga idol are getting ready. In between there is a famous sculpture artist Sri Kalachand Rudra Pal.
In this video I have captured some glimpse of Sri Kalachand rudra pal studio where he and his team has created some beautiful durga idols for Durga Puja 2023.
