Protesters in Kosovo on Wednesday used flares and tear gas to protest against a senior war crimes court official in the capital Pristina.
Protesters tried to enter a hotel in Pristina, where Kosovo Specialist Chamber court President Ekaterina Trendafilova was holding a meeting with members of civil society.
Trendafilova works in The Hague, Netherlands, to investigate and prosecute war crimes allegedly committed in Kosovo between 1998 and 2000, was protested.
Approximately 100 demonstrators carrying banners saying "Trendafil OUT", "Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) cannot be tried", "Propaganda has failed".
The demonstrators used tear gas to cross a police cordon.
