Bulgaria... not the first place that springs to mind when it comes to snowsports but we thought why not? At prices that are almost half that of Europe we were intrigued. We booked into the 5 star Kempinski Grand Arena Hotel, the only ski in, ski out hotel in Bansko and were not disappointed. A gorgeous hotel with the most amazing spa which was thoroughly used during our 7 day stay. The skiing was pretty decent as well, maybe a little small for 7 days but the runs were well groomed, wide and quiet. A fresh dusting of pow keeps us entertained through some tight and steep off piste chutes and treelines.
