Crisis Management and Resilience Week_1 Unit 1: Introduction to the course
Featuring experts from SAP`s internal Global Crisis Management Team, SAP Technology & Solution Experts and Risk Experts from the World Economic Forum
Welcome to the first week of Crisis Management and Resilience.
This week, the topic is Manage Risks and Crisis, and this is the content you can look forward to:
With the rise in global crises, the ability to manage them and build resilience has become an important factor for organizations of all sizes. The COVID-19 pandemic, extreme weather events, and war are causing suffering for the people directly affected, but also have an indirect impact on the public infrastructure, health, and well-being of many other people around the world, for example, through dependence on global supply chains and transportation. The better prepared organizations are to manage crises, the sooner they can start reducing the negative impact on citizens, employees, and customers.
In this course we’ll provide an overview of the basics of crisis management and introduce a simple but useful framework outlining important activities connected to typical stages of a crisis. We’ll illustrate the crisis management framework with examples from real crisis situations and show how good crisis management and use of technology can foster resilience.
Here is what some participants are saying about the course:
Week 1: Manage Risks and Crisis
Week 2: Ensure Business Continuity
Week 3: Make Your Business Resilient with Technology
Week 4: Final Exam
No previous knowledge is required.
