VHF & UHF Radio coms picked up on a Uniden Bearcat BCT-15X Radio Scanner & a Yaesu FT7900R. A major search and rescue incident in the Hayfield/Edale (High Peak, UK) can be heard. Communications from both the Search & Rescue teams on the ground and also from the Bristow Search & Rescue Helicopter (GMCGE) in the sky can be heard.
An on Board Polycon being used on the Bristow SAR Search & Rescue Helicopter intercom system can also be heard that provides coms between the pilots. On this you can hear the pilots talk and also other radios in the helicopter can be heard on the polycon frequency including a tetra airwave radio and the HF radio (Kinloss 5680) on board the helicopter.
The frequencies being monitored and shown in the video are as follows...
156.1250 UK SAR (MRT.INT on display)
156.18125 BUXTON MRT (BUXSAR on display)
155.3500 UK SAR REPEATER (MRT-RP on display)
419.1125 FM which is a short range UHF Polycon system used by the pilots.
Clips are all merged together in order from the incident. One or two clips were cut out as they may have contained sensitive information.
