Nadine Maher is a NY State certified General and Special Education teacher and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with extensive experience working with young children and their families. She received her Master of Education degree in Early Childhood Education with a specialization in teaching children with autism and Intellectual Disabilities from Teachers College, Columbia University and became a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst through Pennsylvania State University.
As a Parent Coach and Behavior Consultant, Nadine provides support to children and families who are facing challenges with their children in their home and community. In addition, Nadine provides consultation in various school settings where she supports teachers in the design and implementation of effective strategies to prevent behavioral challenges and address developmental concerns.
As the younger sister of an adult with Down syndrome, Nadine first-hand experience with the challenges that families face when raising a child with special needs and the strain that this can put on all family members. In addition, she has two young children of her own, with whom she has unyieldingly practices what she preaches.
