SandboxAQ is combining cutting-edge AI and cloud-based high-performance computing to revolutionize chemistry simulations and tackle PFAS pollution. PFAS molecules, also called "forever" chemicals, are found in everyday products like nonstick cookware, waterproof clothing, and firefighting foams. These chemicals are resistant to biodegradatio and accumulate in the environment and our bodies, leading to severe health and ecological risks.

In collaboration with AWS and Accenture, SandboxAQ is helping to solve this critical global environmental challenge of reducing and eliminating harmful "forever" chemicals. Using a cluster of 1.1 million cloud-based CPU cores, our chemistry simulation platform provides insights into breaking down PFAS at the molecular level. This scalable, powerful technology has enabled us to achieve near-exact simulations, paving the way for safer, more sustainable solutions to combat PFAS contamination.
