Europe's largest economy should just skirt recession this year according to a new expert assessment.
The government's Council of Economic Experts says the economy will grow two-tenths of a percent this year due to a more stable energy supply.
German efforts to replace Russian energy exports have gone better than expected and market-prices have been falling from last summer's highs.
