The 17 Sustainable Development Goals recently adopted by the UN General Assembly place a much stronger emphasis on partnerships than the previous framework, and highlight a central role for the private sector in contributing to sustainable development.
The UNECE International PPP Centre of Excellence has been established to explore the best types of international Public-Private Partnership projects and to assist countries in implementing such projects.
