0:15– Benito Martinez Elementary honored veterans with breakfast and a parade, students marched and dressed in patriotic hats and clothes, some students were joined by their veteran parents. The event also paid tribute to Benito Martinez who was an army corporal.
1:14– SISD 1st and 2nd grade gifted and talented students enjoyed a day of fun and educational activities at the Technology Service Center.
2:09– Socorro SISD hosted its 5th annual pop art event at the district service center.
3:11– Americas High School hosted their 1st annual Drunk Driving Awareness Walk Rally.
4:39– Montwood High School hosted a Financial Literacy Event to raise awareness to both parents and students in 8th grade and high school about financial responsibility and the options they have when choosing financial aid, scholarships, and grants.
5:28– Socorro ISD and The El Paso Children’s Hospital hosted the second annual Winter Wellness Land at El Paso Community College Administrative Services Building.
6:26– Socorro ISD Police Departments Blue Santa, Officer Grinch, and the Elves passed out gifts to students that were chosen based on their performance throughout the year.
