Kode Kallu Gudda could be the best trekking destination for those who would wish to climb the hill at a quick time and see the overwhelming view of Western Ghats.
The hill is surrounded by several other hills including one of the highest peaks in the series of hills- Minchu Kallu and one of the tiresome trekking destinations Bale Kallu Gudda (second highest peak in the surroundings). Kode Kallu is called so, owing to the presence of a huge stone structure on the top of the hill which resembles the shape of an umbrella. The huge rock peeps out of the hill, appearing as if it is clinging on to the hill and would fall at any moment. Over 30 people can stand under this spacious umbrella like stone and save themselves from the scorching sun’s rays.
The top of the hill offers a breathtaking view to the onlookers. The hill top offers the view of Kuduremukh forest area on the one side, Durgadabetta mountain on the other side, flowing picturesque lake Anigooru Hole on one direction and Banjarumale hills on another direction. The picturesque scenery takes the visitors to a very different world, a different world altogether.
The slope of the hill is lush green and looks untouched except during summer. Trek length is not too much, so is suited for those who are not very comfortable with trekking on the long routes. There are no obstacles on the trekking route and the slope is plain, covered with green grass during the month of rainy season and winter.
