A 3 year old boy named Adolf Hitler Campbell and his 2 younger sisters will remain in foster care-- at least for now.
Their parents appeared in a New Jersey court Thursday...hoping to regain custody...but the matter is still unresolved.
Adolf Hitler...JoyceLynn Aryan Nation...and Honszlynn Hinler were removed from this home and placed in foster care 2 months ago...
allegedly over reports of abuse.
The Department of Youth and Family Services hasn't given a reason for their removal...
but their father has said he believes they were taken because of their Nazi-inspired names.
Residents of the family's small hometown have said placing the little boy and his sisters in foster care just because of their names would be wrong.
((Jackson Lears SOT: I think its an inappropriate intrustion on their lives. The child is going to have his own life and make what he will of it. The name Adolf is not inherently evil. What's in a name as Juliet said...))
The family first made headlines when a supermarket refused to decorate a birthday cake with Adolf Hitler written on it.
((Julie Parker SOT: If the parents are kind and loving I don't see any problems, but I just think the name is too revolutionary, it's drastic and crazy. I wouldn't name my son that.))
An attorney for the parents says he's confident progress is being made toward reuniting the family.
The judge reportedly increased the Campbells' visitation with their children from one day per week to three during Thursday's hearing.
No word yet on when the couple will appear in court again.
