Explorers of Navoria (English translation of 2022, 派遣小鎮 Townsfolk Wanted!) is a 2-4 player medium-weight game. In this video, I compare it to Orleans and Wingspan. Though it feels a bit like these two games and has several common mechanics, this is also a pretty unique game. Here are a few characteristics that set it apart:
1. This is NOT a "bag builder" like Orleans. The same tokens are reused every round.
2. All players share ONE bag.
3. Unlike Wingspan, the "engine building" in this game is not tied to your action, but rather, your BONUS action. You spend collected resources to perform an extra action and it is this extra action that gets stronger and stronger.
4. Unlike Wingspan, the card that you take from the those available is FREE. You do not pay for it but rather, taking the card can potentially EARN resources, rather than cost resources.

RULES CLARIFICATION
Full disclosure: while I did play this game at Essen, the volunteer who taught it to me did NOT teach the rules correctly. Dranda Games (the owner of the rights to the English rulebook) has not of yet released the updated rulebook. Though I was able to figure out a few things that we did wrong, as I understand it the final version of the rules is still pending. Nevertheless, here is my best attempt at describing how the game is played:
1. Players take turns drawing two tokens from the bag and choosing one to draft an available card. I am not clear on how long this phase lasts. At Essen, we kept going until all the cards were taken.
2. Whenever the above phase ends, players take turns using the tokens on the cards to perform the various colored actions. The action for each color is strongest the FIRST time it is used. So for example, in this video, you see I am the SECOND person to use the red action: my action is weaker than the person who used it before me.
3. The actions take will help you score points, collect resources, advance on tracks, and place settlements.
4. During your turn, you can spend collected sets of resources (in the video I used a set of four resources, although it shows me using only three. This is because I had just earned a resource during my action phase but I didn't need to take it because I knew I was going to spend it again.) to perform an additional action. The extra action becomes stronger when more settlements are placed on the board.
5. At the end of the game, you score BUCKETS of points: for track advancements, cards in your tableau, claimed achievements, special scoring conditions on cards... theres a lot to do in this game and a lot to score from.
