Difference between Monohybrid and Dihybrid Cross
In this video I am going to explain the difference between Monohybrid cross and Dihybrid Cross.
Monohybrid Cross is Cross between two pure organism in order to study the Inheritance of a single pair of alleles.
Dihybrid Cross is a Cross between two pure organism in order to study the Inheritance of two pairs of alleles.
In Monohybrid cross one pairs of genes are involved but in Dihybrid Cross two pairs of genes are involved.
Phenotypic ratio in Monohybrid cross is 3:1in F2 generation but in Dihybrid Cross it is 9:3:3:1.
Example of Monohybrid cross is Cross between tall and Dwarf pea plant and explain of Dihybrid Cross is Cross between yellow and round seed plants with green and wrinkled seed plants.
I have explained here with handmade notes and diagrams.
This video will be useful for all the students of class 10th , class 11th, class 12th, NEET, BSc. , MSc., Engineering biology, who want to clear their basics in genetics.
