The Swindon Oasis Leisure Centre opened its doors in 1976 and has played such an important part in the lives of every Swindonian ever since. The Iconic dome is home to a swimming pool that has brought joy to many families, and the sports hall has welcomed many internationally recognised musical acts including Liam Gallagher, Kasabian, Alice Cooper and a heart stopping performance from Morrissey.

The Oasis faces permanent closure and thus the prospect of redevelopment or demolition. Today it stands neglected, quiet and sombre. But as seen in this video it still stands graceful and proud.

It simply must be saved.
