A Little Screen Test on the Way to the Read-Through is a three-minute short produced prior to production on The Muppets, acting as a camera test for the film. The short was included as a bonus feature on the Blu-ray and digital releases of the film.
The short features Jason Segel (as Gary), Walter, Kermit the Frog, Scooter, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Rowlf the Dog, Rizzo the Rat, Miss Piggy, and some penguins as they prepare to do a read through of the screenplay.
The short ends with the film's logo over a background of colorful circles as the film's version of "The Muppet Show Theme" plays in full.
