Ingredients
10 - 15 small apples
10 – 15 Chop sticks
2 cups sugar
½ cup water
½ tsp of cream of tartar
½ tsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp red food colour
For 10 - 15 small apples, use 2 cups of white sugar with 1/2 cup of water.
Add a pinch of cream of tartar, 1 teaspoon of food colouring, 1/2 teaspoon vinegar.
Dissolve sugar over medium heat stirring continuously
Once the sugar is dissolved and it begins to bubble, STOP STIRRING.
Boil for approximately 10 minutes.
To Test the syrup is ready – drop a couple of drops into water if it sets hard its done – if soft cook a little longer.
