My husband loves all things spicy, so when we were planting our garden, he requested several different kinds of hot peppers. This past weekend when we harvested the peppers, there were TONS of chili peppers. We knew from the beginning that all we were going to do with these tiny fruits was dehydrate them for red pepper flakes and cayenne pepper seasoning. When researching how exactly to dehydrate them, I discovered many people just use their ovens, so we did just that. 12 hours at 170 degrees F was the perfect amount of time to dehydrate four full cookie sheets of chili peppers. We ended up with 3 of my largest Tupperware containers full of dried chili peppers!
