Avvo Legal Analyst, Lisa Bloom shares the court's recent decision to have Theodore Wafer stand trial for the shooting of Michigan teen, Renisha McBride on November 2nd. Early evidence indicates he shot McBride in the face through a locked screen door in the early morning of the 2nd, several hours after the intoxicated 19 year old crashed her car in a nearby neighborhood. Wafer faces charges of second-degree murder, manslaughter and a related gun charge. Wafer's attorney will have to prove that Wafer had reason to act in self-defense. McBride's family believes the teen was looking for help that night when she came to his door and that it's possible she had confused Wafer's home with her own.
