Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin said the Israeli-PLO peace
talks would be suspended until after the funerals for the victims
of Monday's (24/7) Tel Aviv bus bombing. Rabin, in his first public reaction to the suicide bomb attack, said the Israeli government would do all in its power to prevent further attacks but vowed to press forward with the peace talks with the PLO. In Gaza, Hamas activist Muhammad Arantisi said that the suicide bomb attack was a symbol of the Palestinian struggle against Israel.
