WHAT IS A COLD EMAIL?

Cold email is an email you send to prospects that have no prior relationship with you and that haven't opted in to receive it in the first place. Think of it as a modern way of door-to-door sales, only much more efficient.

You send cold emails to drive interest and warm up your leads, move them down your sales funnel and eventually convert them.

It's critical to separate cold emails from newsletters because many salespeople make a huge mistake when they decide to use email marketing tools to send cold emails. As a result, they dramatically lower their email deliverability and double the chances of being flagged as a spammer.

DOES COLD EMAILING STILL WORK?

Absolutely! But, the goal of the cold email is not to convert a customer. Your mission is to get on a call with that person or start a conversation. Your content and the language you use need to be positioned in the right way. Remember, anyone has the power to mark your email as spam.
