2 + 2 =

How do we start such a calculation exercise?

What do we see 2 + 2, plus is adding, the easiest to solve this is to draw dots under the numbers.

Like we did here.

As we said before, plus is adding, so now we count all the dots together, how many dots do we have now?

Indeed! 4!

Now we can say 2 + 2 = 4!
