The King was seen smiling and waving during his first public appearance since Prince Harry's interview. He attended church with the Queen at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, Norfolk, on a rainy Sunday morning.
Dressed in a brown coat and holding an umbrella, he greeted the public before being welcomed by Rev Canon Dr Paul Williams.
Following his recent cancer treatment, Charles is currently staying at Sandringham.
This is the first time the 75 year old King has been seen in public since Harry hinted at a possible reconciliation between them during a US breakfast TV show interview.
Harry expressed his love for his family and gratitude for spending time with his father after flying back to the UK following Charles's cancer diagnosis.
His brief visit to see his father, which lasted about 45 minutes, sparked rumours that the two, who have been estranged since Harry stepped down as a working royal, might be mending their relationship.
During the interview on Good Morning America, it was suggested that a family illness could bring about a "re-unifying effect". When asked if this could be the case here, Harry responded: "Yeah, I'm sure."
