Alright guys, let's take you through the backhand slice. And I want you to stay tuned for tip number four. Because Tip number four, no one talks about coaches don't talk about it. And it's a highly effective tool that you can use on your backhand slice. It's very advanced, and it's probably requires a lot of work to get it right. But it really will make a big, big difference. First thing we want to talk about on the slice, it's always important to talk about the grip. Okay, please make sure you're not using a Eastern backhand grip or a semi Western backhand grip for the slice or make sure you use the number two bevel continental grip on the slice. That's the only way you're going to get proper slice. Then, always important tip number two is to have your knuckles up, wrist strong, and wrist cocked up okay, don't break your wrist. This is going to cause the ball to go up or down. When you're trying to slice and knife the ball. Tip number three, please make very sure that you're turning enough. If you don't turn enough, you're gonna go straight under the ball and you're not gonna have anything on your slice. You want to turn so much that the back of your right shoulder is actually facing the net. That way you can really lean into the ball. It's almost as if your right shoulder goes down into the ball and through. And then tip number four. The tip that you've all been waiting for, is understand that the slice does not mean you just going straight under the ball. If you look closely actually on contact point, the strings are almost going to be square to the ball. It's going to be square to the net and then from there it's a lot easier to slice underneath the ball. If you watch Roger Federer youll see sometimes it looks like He is hitting straight down on a slice. But that way you're going to get a lot more knife underneath and through the ball. As we said it is an advanced tip. But if you train enough, spend enough time on the slice you will be able to do it. And then lastly, please make very sure not to open up on the slice stay sideways. Keep your chest to the side fence. You can always use a karaoke step to make sure you stay sideways on your slice.
