NEW YORK, NY - The 2012 Air Force Week began at the USS Intrepid in New York City on August 19, 2012. The events at the Intrepid included an open water rescue demonstration conducted by the 106th Rescue Wing. Over the Hudson River, an HH-60 Pavehawk Helicopter from the 101st Rescue Squadron deployed four Pararescue Specialists from the 103 Rescue Squadron to assist in the search and rescue efforts of a distressed survivor in the water.
