China on Saturday launched a new cargo spacecraft to its space station in preparation for a coming crewed mission.

Atop a Long March-7 Y6 rocket, the Tianzhou-5 cargo craft blasted off at 10:03 am Beijing Time (0203 GMT) from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site, under the Xichang Satellite Launch Center, in the southern island province of Hainan.
