Virginijus Sinkevičius is the EU Commissioner for the Environment, Oceans and Fisheries. He elaborates on the EU Green Deal efforts towards climate change while exploring the fundamental role the European recovery plan has in shaping the future of our economical and environmental state. Virginijus stresses the importance of sustainable investments by explaining the fundamental interconnection between the earth's and society's wellbeing. Virginijus is currently the EU commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries which tasks him with ensuring that these remain at the core of the European Green Deal. More recently he is leading the Circular Economy Action Plan which will will present a new biodiversity strategy for 2030.
