Original 3D Crystal Puzzle - Dog was the first 3D puzzle I have completed in a long time, so it took a bit to get back into the swing of things. I love the Original 3D Puzzles, and have become addicted to completing them. We have a Golden Retriever, so we thought this would be a good addition to our decorations. The puzzle was easy to complete, once I got back into the swing of things. I found the pieces to be very hard to distinguish visually, and wished I had started the project on a lighter colored table (not brown) in a better lit area of my house. Once all of the pieces were together, Original 3D Crystal Puzzle - Dog took a bit of fussing to get the post to lock in. The bowl that comes with it is cute, too. The puzzles are not proportional across the series, so the cat from the cat and kitten set and the dog are about the same size. The finished dachshund puzzle is about the same size as this puzzle.

Boy did my family ever have fun putting these 3D puzzles together in our cabin. Original 3D Crystal Puzzle - Dog are friggin hard but u gotta finish! This dog is level 1 and another we got is level 2 which was even harder! Just beware of the level u are purchasing if u are new to this. But tons of fun!

It says it's for 14 and up, however my 10 year old did it in a couple of hours. Only issue was one of the pieces wasn't cut correctly and we had to file it a bit. Never was able to get the stabilizer in the body. Super glue to the rescue!

This is my 2nd 3D Original 3D Crystal Puzzle - Dog . 1st was the 3D - Bird, which I like very much.

The package contains a plastic bag w/ 5 (maybe 6) plastic 'sheets'; each sheet has 6-8 pieces which stuck together (total 41 pieces). There's also an instruction/diagram included, which have each pieces drawn and numbered. So if you want an easy assemble in ~5-10 mins, do not remove the pieces from the plastic sheets before reviewing the diagram; because the pieces are grouped in order. But if you want a 1/2 - 1 hr. challenge instead then go ahead and remove all the pieces and start from 0.

Pros
1. The final product doesn't look bad - a decent orange toy doggie that can be displayed as a decorative piece
2. Feeling of a great accomplishment when completed
3. A good fun for under 5 bucks

Cons:
1. Some of the pieces once snapped in, stuck to other pieces like glue. It's difficult/possible-nail-broken/possible-object-flying to remove when needed to, i.e. to tighten the rods.
2. Plastic looks cheap; final product doesn't look as nice as the 3D blue bird.
3. It took more than 3 weeks to arrive.
