Buses, trains and boats filmed in and around the Lake District in the autumn of 2024. Locations include Kendal just outside the National Park where many of the buses are based at their Stagecoach depot and there is also a bit of action from inside the depot onboard an Enviro 200.
Other areas filmed in the video are Windermere and Bowness where a lot of the more commercial and tourist activity can be found in the South Lakes with footage onboard Windermere from MV Swan. This is as far as the mainline British Rail gets into The Lake District National Park with services operated by Northern.
There is more bus action filmed at Ambleside, Hawkshead, Coniston and Dungeon Ghyll providing some scenic backdrops for locations, however the bus frequency in reduced in some of these rural areas.
Moving north the other locations of filming are Grasmere which is a nice little village with an excellent bus service and Keswick and Seatoller the wettest place in the United Kingdom with guess what? An open top Dennis Trident on the 78 from Keswick.
There are rides on a few buses with Stagecoach Cumbria and Lancashire filmed within the video.
