IMPORTANT: At 6:13 in the video, if the first path vanishes after you click to make another path, do the following: After you close a path, Shift-click to create the first anchor point of another path.
At 6:39, an alternate to make a selection of all the paths is to Ctrl-click or Cmd-click the path thumbnail.
