Gamay is typically associated with Beaujolais nouveau. But this Gamay, (which is a cousin to Pinot Noir) done in a Cru style, is much more Burgundian. All that is to say, its delicious! Very food friendly for classic PNW dishes like salmon and duck because of its strong spice backbone and white pepper minerality. The site is exceptional: a grass seed field with soil similar to the alluvial plains from the grapes, native France.
