On Thursday, July 7, the second part of session one of the "Regional Seminar on the exchange of experiences in the evaluation processes of the FREL/FRL and REDD+ technical annexes before the UNFCCC/other initiatives" took place, in which: (i) Marieke Sandker from FAO shared the state of the art on Forest Reference Emission Levels (FRELs) / Forest Reference Levels (FRLs) and REDD+ results reports, (ii) SilvaCarbon, through audience participation, identified the main changes and challenges in the modified FREL/FRL and the improvements in the assessment processes, and (iii) Freddy Argotty and Marcial Arias, representatives of Peru and Panama respectively, shared their experiences and challenges in the assessment processes and improvement of the FREL/FRL under the UNFCCC. 103 attendees from 24 countries participated in this session, and asked different questions and comments to the panelists and the speaker.
