After more than a year of measures such as mask mandates and social distancing, Americans are adjusting to a reopening society. But with ongoing concerns about the pandemic’s spread, disparate vaccine acceptance rates, and an uncertain future, the coronavirus pandemic continues to cast a long shadow on our mental health. In this live Q&A, Karestan Koenen, Professor of Psychiatric Epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, spoke with The World’s Elana Gordon about well-being and mental health during this transition.
