What is an augmented matrix? Augmented matrices are created by joining the columns of two matrices, and they're surprisingly useful! In today's video math lesson, we'll go over augmented matrices and briefly introduce some of their uses, like finding the inverse of a matrix and solving systems of linear equations.
Solving systems of linear equations using augmented matrices is a common use. The augmented matrix in this situation is created by joining what is called the coefficient matrix with the constant matrix, we'll go over all of this in more detail in another lesson, but hopefully this video gets you excited to continue studying matrices!

The outro music is by a favorite musician of mine named Vallow, who, upon my request, kindly gave me permission to use his music in my outros. I usually put my own music in the outros, but I love Vallow's music, and wanted to share it with those of you watching. Please check out all of his wonderful work.
