In a recent interview with Clique, billionaire rapper and Fashion Designer Kanye West explains the reason behind his choice to wear a ‘White Lives Matter’ shirt at the Paris Fashion week, alongside friend and right-wing commentator, Candace Owens.
Contrary to public opinion, the artist chose to wear the shirt to reflect the emptiness in symbolic support through clothing, stating “I wore the shirt to tell white people what they already know.”
This comes a week after Kanye received heavy backlash, for his choice to wear the shirt, and following his ban from Twitter.
