The West Nile Virus is one of a family of related viruses that can cause infection in humans and result in complications including encephalitis. In this lesson, we discuss how this virus is transmitted, how it causes disease, what are the signs and symptoms of this condition, how we diagnose it, how we can treat it and some steps in preventing becoming infected with the west nile virus in the first place.
