1920’s Family Recipe: 4 of 28
Cottage Cheese Pie
1 cup Cottage Cheese
2/3 cup Milk
1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
1 Tablespoon Butter
2/3 cup Sugar
2 Egg Yolks Beaten (save egg whites for meringue)
1/4 Teaspoon Vanilla extract
Salt
Bake in one crust and when nearly done add meringue. Return to oven and brown.
I really liked this! It was like a chunkier cheesecake! Few things I would change because the directions left A LOT to be desired but I get it now!
I cooked it on 350 for 50 minutes then added the meringue, just FYI!
