Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he was "obviously very concerned" about the report into Martin Bashir’s BBC interview with Diana, Princess of Wales.
Boris Johnson called on the BBC to ensure the events surrounding the 1995 Martin Bashir interview with the Princess of Wales cannot happen again.
Speaking to broadcasters during a visit to Portsmouth, the Prime Minister said: "I'm obviously concerned by the findings of Lord Dyson's report - I'm very grateful to him for what he has done.
"I can only image the feelings of the royal family and I hope very much that the BBC will be taking every possible step to make sure nothing like this ever happens again."
The Duke of Sussex has said the BBC's "exploitation and unethical practices ultimately took Diana, Princess of Wales' life" as he hit out at the corporation's role in the Martin Bashir interview with his mother.
The Panorama interview fuelled Diana's "fear, paranoia and isolation" in the final years of her life and damaged her relationship with the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge said separately in a stinging condemnation of the BBC.
