On February 24, 2023, Global National has reporting from Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) documents and other intelligence sources alleging that Han Dong, Liberal MP for Don Valley North, had ties to People's Republic of China interference in the 2019 Canadian federal election. Global also reports that senior officials in the Prime Minister's office were briefed on the connection but that Justin Trudeau signed Han's nomination papers anyway.
