I've read stories and seen videos where people have had problems with tolls across France. Having used a Liber-T Toll Tag in my car I wanted to prove that, providing you follow their instructions, that it should work ok.
I had the tag in the top outside pocket of my jacket. It was in my right pocket but in retrospect should probably have been in the left one given the location of the sensors. I did also toy with the idea of sticking it to the front of the bike using the mount supplied for a car windscreen (I have a couple of spares having already replaced an old tag and also having a separate one for Spain) but didn't know how it would react if it rained and didn't want to take any risks.
This video was shot over a single day, Saturday May 18th 2024, on a ride from the Channel Tunnel terminal in Calais to the small town of Saint-Genis-Pouilly Genève, just a short walk from the Swiss border where the CERN Supercollider is based.
