Sydney Council have decided to make the roads narrower in the CBD to discourage drivers from the area, says Sky News host James Macpherson.
He said they will also increase the width of footpaths and slow the speeds of cars in a bid to get cars out of the central city and make it more pedestrian-friendly.
“About a third of people living in the CBD don’t have a car which makes sense,” he said.
“But Greater Sydney, it’s only 11 per cent of people who don’t have a car.
“Most of us come into the city driving a vehicle – Clover Moore says this will be good for business – I can’t see this being good for business.”
