Ryan Blaney earned his first NASCAR Cup Series championship in 2023, defeating William Byron, Christopher Bell and Kyle Larson at Phoenix.
In this exclusive 1-on-1 interview with WCNC Charlotte's Ashley Stroehlein, Ryan Blaney discusses the emotions he felt throughout the championship race at Phoenix, the pressure of writing a champions' speech and what it means to accomplish something for Roger Penske he'd never done.
Blaney officially punched his ticket to the playoffs by winning the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte. From there, he had an up-and-down summer and many NASCAR pundits doubted whether Team Penske would truly compete for the title. But when the dust settled, it was Blaney reigning victorious at Phoenix with his first NASCAR championship. #NASCAR #RyanBlaney #NASCARPlayoffs
